Woman kicks out boyfriend after he moves into her apartment unannounced, and demands that her 12-year-old dog isn't allowed in "their" bedroom or on the furniture: 'I'm not really willing to make my dog suffer because he can't adapt to her'

No woman should ever let a man come between her and her dog. Period. We don't care if he has Austin Butler's face, a young Mark Wahlberg's body, and Adam Sandler's personality: he still can't give you what Bob the Bulldog can. And in this case, he's not even A-list material: he still lives with his mother and somehow thinks he deserves more space in the bed than the dog. That relationship is doomed from the start, and this woman doesn't need a ten-dollar, back-alley fortune teller to tell her that. That's what we're here for! 

Nothing shouts "I'm toxic" like telling your 8-month-long girlfriend that you're moving into her apartment and then trying to dictate what her dog of 12 years can and can't do inside said apartment. Because buddy, as much as you may hate to hear it, the chance of her choosing you over her loyal pup is looking rather slim…So either you bite your tongue and quickly get used to him getting fed first, sleeping wedged between you two, and getting more kisses…or say good-bye to your girl.

  • You guessed it... Why should she have to deal with her boyfriend's dog-related complaints and force her dog to change its habits when everything was fine until he came along? So she kicked him to the curb and hoped that a nice lady could rescue him. So that they too could have a happy and healthy relationship, just like her and her doggy!

    I 28F leave alone with my dog 12F let's call her Nina she is my baby I found her and her siblings when they were about 2 weeks old and care for them only two survived sadly but I have to admit I spoiled her since the begging because she barely made it.

    My boyfriend 30M still lives with his mom which is not abnormal in our culture but lately they been fighting a lot because his sister moved back in with her kids and he doesn't have much space, he has a very good job so he can realistically move out alone but he is very insistant in wanting to move with me.

    We only been dating for 8 months and I don't think we are there yet also everytime he visits he complains about something about Nina, he got mad the other night because he wanted to sleepover and wanted me to kick Nina out of the bed and I refused I told him before if he doesn't like it he can literally just break up with me.

    Well on Friday he got into a big fight with his family because one of his nephews grab his Nintendo switch and damage it or something and he came to my have with all his things packed pretending to just stay over without telling me and immediately trying to change things around he said Nina can sleep in the floor in our room or in the living room but he ain't living with a dog who is on the furniture.

    To make the long story short I kicked him out and told him he never even asked if he could come over and Nina lives here, he doesn't.

    Just_Asking21 NTA he sounds like the type of person to give away your dog when you leave and then say it ran away. Also, he wants to move directly from momma to you - he wants someone to continue taking care of him, to cook & clean.

    YakElectronic6713 Oh, believe me, he would have nagged and nagged until he got his way. Or he would just let the house get messy to the point that YOU would have to do something about it. Believe this older lady (me) when I tell you that he wants you to replace his mommy. I speak from experience. Men like him aren't rare. Be smart, dump him. You and your dog deserve much better.

Yea, YOUR math is correct, because your friends that say you're prioritizing a dog over a human are crazy. You/BF might not be together in two months, but the dog WILL still be there!!
